About Cves pta

The Creek View PTA supports our kids as well as school administration, teachers, and staff - including bus drivers. We are responsible for organizing and executing amazing school-wide events including Screen on the Green, Cheetah Fun Run, Family Fun Night and Basket Raffle. Additionally, PTA purchases school-wide agendas, supports Walk to School Days, provides curriculum support including in-school field trips, treats the staff to luncheons throughout the year and annually makes at least one big purchase for the school.

Some of the larger purchases we have made in the past include:

• New signage throughout the school
• New CVES mascot costume
• Outdoor screens on the play pad
• Refreshed Teacher’s Lounge
• An outdoor classroom
• Adding a flexible seating option for the classrooms
  
• Screen beams for enhanced teaching curriculum and instruction
• New mics and stereo equipment
• New books for each classroom

All of these events and school contributions require money. Thankfully, we have moved beyond the days of asking students and parents to sell chocolate bars, popcorn, and gift wrap. Instead of these time-consuming fundraisers, we ask every family to make an annual, one-time donation during our Fall Membership Fundraiser, and participate in our Spring Basket Raffle Fundraiser.

All of our other big scale events are considered “break even” events. That means we do not make any money from them. Donations can be made online, and we are asking that each family contribute at least $50 per student. However, any amount donated is appreciated!

Donations to the Creek View PTA are not an obligation to volunteer or attend meetings. However, for those who want to help out with events - we welcome your support!
