Staff Appreciation Coming Soon! 

Let's show our Creek View staff that we are their biggest fans!  We are celebrating the start of the 2018 Winter Olympics and our gold medal staff at Creek View during Staff Appreciation Week, February 5th - 9th. This is the one week a year that we dedicate our efforts to let the staff know what a great job they do all year long. We have many special events and activities planned including creating posters of appreciation, 2 staff lunches and 2 staff treats.  The sign ups for creating staff posters and donating items for one of our staff treats - a Popcorn Bar - are below.  Please read through the sign ups completely and consider donating your time, creativity and some goodies.  Also, please be on the lookout for a flier being sent home on Friday, February 2nd.  We are coordinating a school wide effort to let students tell their teachers why they are awesome and make a difference for them every day. We want all of our staff to know they are champions!  One of our staff lunches will be hosted by 2nd and 3rd grade.  A sign up will be going out soon to the respective parents and guardians for those grades requesting food donations. Yearbook Photographers Needed!

We need some parents to assist in taking photos at school during specific events.  Please contact our Yearbook Editor, Dawn Abercrombie, at dabercro13@gmail.com for more information and sign-up times.

 

Books and Bingo!  


Save the date for a family night of FUN on February 9th, 6:00pm- 8:00pm
  • Book Swap - bring in your gently loved books February 5-9 to your homeroom and swap in the Gym the night of the event! 
  • Bingo - Cards are $1 - get ready to play for some fun prizes!
Concessions, pizza slices, samosas and refreshments will be  available while supplies last.

Volunteer sign-up for helpers will go out soon!  PTA needs your help to run this fantastic family fun event. 
 
 

Calling All 5th Grade Parents!

We need your help in planning 5th Grade Festivities Week!  

We need chairpeople and committee people for:  Spirit Week, Reception Decor, Hallway Bulletin Boards and Photo Backdrop, Reception Refreshments, 5th Grade Carnival and Pool Party.  You should have received an email already with more specific details.  If you are interested in being on this committee please email Jana Laserna jmlaserna@yahoo.com and Jeannie Ullman jeannie.ullman@gmail.com

Copy Team & Media Center Volunteers - Sign Up Information




 
The Copy Team is back in full swing and is usually overwhelmed with requests when students return to school in January.  We would appreciate any help you can provide!  Copy Team ensures that the educational items (worksheets, study guides, etc.) that are given to the classes are printed to give to the students. By volunteering you are not only helping the teachers, but also your own students to succeed. Below is the link to the Copy Team and Media Center volunteer schedule. Please consider helping out!

Box Tops Due February 9th!

Our next Box Top Challenge has begun!  Start collecting your Box Tops to earn FREE Raffle Tickets!  One page of 25 Box Tops will earn you 1 Basket Raffle Ticket to use at the Basket Raffle on March 23rd.  Remember to tape or glue your Box Tops to the sheets provided in the Friday Folders and turn them in before February 9th to earn your tickets.  Clip Box Tops this holiday season when you are enjoying the winter break.  Please be sure to check the Box Tops to ensure they are not expired.  Raffle Tickets for those who participate in the challenge will be distributed the week before Basket Raffle to ensure they don’t get lost.

FAMILY FUN NIGHT and SPIRIT NIGHT!

January 24th, 2018 is the next Family Fun Night!!! Don't forget to go onto Twitter and tweet your pictures on the @CreekViewElem page with #cvfamily. Looking forward to seeing all the family fun!

Visit "Roasters" at 12850 HWY 9 on the night of the 24th and they will give CVES 10% of the total sales for that evening.  Come see your teacher there!
